Look Good Feel Better Confidence Boosting Workshops for People with Cancer

Duchy Health Charity awarded a grant of £3,432 towards ‘Look Good Feel Better’ confidence-boosting workshops in Cornwall.

The grant has enabled delivery of nine workshops across Fowey Hall and The Cove Macmillan Centre at Treliske, supporting 55 people living with cancer.

Three further workshops have also been scheduled in Fowey, and four at Treliske.

As a result of the grant, which part-funded 13 workshops, over 80 people have had fun attending the events.

Sue, who attended the Treliske workshop on 12 March said:

“The workshop was amazing.  We were warmly welcomed by everyone at The Cove Macmillan Centre and lovely Look Good Feel Better volunteer Leah.

Leah gave a really fun, relaxed workshop.  She was extremely helpful and brimming with tips – we all had a great laugh.

I met some brave and wonderful ladies who shared their experiences.

We loved the goody bags we were given and had great time trying out new ideas.

It was a hugely positive workshop with amazing people.

Thanks again for Leah’s helpful advice – we all left the building looking good and feeling great.”

We, at Duchy Health Charity, recognise the importance of helping people face cancer with confidence, something these workshops are proud to support.
