Year 3 Cornwall undergraduate, Mariska Peck, was presented with a cheque and certificate at the College for Medicine and Health Medical School Undergraduate Prizes and Awards on Wednesday 2 October 2019 for being the most progressive student in her year.
Trustee Tim Guy gave a short speech outlining the charity’s aims and reasons for supporting Exeter University in this way. It was also an opportunity to announce the DHC’s 2020 Social Prescribing Projects and to congratulate another of Exeter’s award winners, Daisy Kirtley, for her Cross College Citizenship Prize for Social Prescribing.
Tim also confirmed that DHC would continue to support this award for the next 3 years and now that the new Nursing Degree is underway for 2019-20 we would wish to support this with a similar award for years 2020 to 2023.
